Top 5 Beauty Products Under $5

As prices increase, beauty is starting to get expensive. I remember going into Walmart or Target and picking up a $1 nail polish or lip gloss. Even though I love to try out all types of makeup and beauty products, my wallet cries when I spend a little too much.

Here are my top five beauty products under $5. The following products are in no particular order.

The e.l.f. Cosmetics Bite-Size Face Duo is one of my favorite products. It’s versatile and comes in eight shades. No matter if you’re fair, like myself, or have a deeper complexion, you are bound to find a shade that best matches you. It comes with a matte shade and a shimmer shade. With each retailing for $4.00 each, by grabbing two, you could have a blush, highlighter, blush topper, and four shades to create a glam eye look. Even if you only go with one shade, the shades are versatile and work well together where you could get the look with just the two colors. The shade in the e.l.f. Cosmetics Bite-Size Face Duo I have linked is called "Spiced Apple."

The e.l.f. Cosmetics Bite-Size Eyeshadow is such a great value for your money and quality. You get four eyeshadows and can choose from ten different color palettes. Each has their own style. You could be a little adventurous with a color palette or for an everyday, more neutral look, go for a neutral color palette. The e.l.f. Cosmetics Bite-Size Eyeshadow retails for $4.00. The shade in the e.l.f. Cosmetics Bite-Size Eyeshadow I have linked is a matte neutral called "I Love You a Latte."

The Wet N Wild MEGA LAST MATTE LIP COLOR retails for $3.19 and comes in thirteen shades on the Wet N Wild website. Even though these are a matte lipstick, they are comfortable on the lips. The color range of this lip color is more on the neutral side, but you can get a bright red or a dark vampy color. The link to the Wet N Wild MEGA LAST MATTE LIP COLOR takes you to the list of all shades. My favorite is "Bare it All." jellobeans.com describes the color as "a light/medium pink-toned brown nude with warm undertones."

The essence volume booster lash primer changed my lashes for the better. I had an issue when it came to mascara smudging on my lid and on my lower lash line. A coworker had suggested a lash primer, so I tested a few and this one was my favorite. Not only does it help with mascara transferring, it retails for only $4.99.

The essence brighten up! banana powder is one of my favorite drugstore powders. I am one that personally prefers loose powders because of the fine mill but this performs like my loose powders. It makes my skin look smooth while not looking like I’m wearing too much makeup. If you have a deeper complexion, I’m not sure how this will appear on the skin as it is a bright, banana shade. If you are on the lighter skin complexion side, I recommend trying this out retailing at $4.99.

Overall, you don’t have to break the bank when it comes to beauty. There are quite a few products that are not that expensive that not only do I love, but they are also versatile where I don’t have to purchase as many products.
