Top 10 Products Found at Ulta Beauty
Ulta Beauty is what I like to call a “melting pot” of beauty stores. It sells products found at your local drugstore (at a higher price point), high-end products found at Sephora, prestige products found at beauty counters in a department store like Nordstrom, and they have their own in-house hair salon. If you have never been inside or shopped at an Ulta Beauty before, it can get overwhelming.
I have compiled a list of what I believe to be the top ten products that you can purchase at Ulta Beauty. Trust me, there is a lot more that I love and purchase from Ulta Beauty, but I wanted to start with ten to give you, the reader, a starting point. The following list is in no order.
This face mask is a holy-grail product of mine. I mentioned the Caudalie Pore Minimizing Instant Detox Mask in the post titled “Top 5 Products Found ONLY at Sephora.” Each mask costs about the same per ounce as well as containing similar ingredients. It’s a great mask to help with texture, acne, and large pores.
I would recommend doing a patch test first to make sure that you won’t have a large reaction if one were to occur.
I absolutely love this cleansing balm. It reminds me of the Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm Makeup Remover but at a more affordable price. I have sensitive skin and sensory issues, and this is a product that I don’t have an adverse reaction to both skin wise as well as sensory wise. I use it as a first cleanse to melt away the makeup then follow up with my cleanser to cleanse my skin.
It does tend to get in my eyes where I get blurry vision, but it doesn’t sting my eyes and I get my clear vision back within five minutes.
I recently tried out this product back in December of 2022 and have loved it since. I have bleach-blonde hair and was looking for a purple leave-in conditioner that I could use in conjunction with my purple shampoo and conditioner, mentioned below, to help my hair not become brassy. This product was exactly what I was looking for and I am willing to spend the price for this great product.
Shimmer Lights is a 50/50 brand for people. For myself personally, this is my favorite purple shampoo. I bleach my hair and have curly turned wavy hair. I have tried a lot of purple shampoo since bleaching my hair back in 2015ish and this is the best I have tried. I wash my hair at night then sleep with wet hair to air-dry overnight. Not only does this help with the brightness of my blonde hair, but it also enhances my curly/wavy hair texture. This could all be in my head, but I believe it to be true.
Not only do I love the Shimmer Lights purple shampoo, but I also love the adjoining conditioner. It is the only purple conditioner that I have found that is as purple as the shampoo. I like bright white hair and when I use this conditioner with the purple shampoo, my hair stays bright for longer in between be getting my hair done.
This cuticle remover has been a game changer for my nails. I am one where I try to take care of my nails, but it is something I am still working on. My cuticles can grow long and get dry. When using this, I let it sit for 5ish minutes, push the soften cuticles back with a cuticle pusher (I think that’s what they’re called), and use cuticle clipper to clip away any excess. Highly recommend if you struggle in the upkeep of your nails.
Like I had mentioned previously, I have sensitive skin and sensory issues. I don’t like the feeling of lotion on my skin as a lot of them tend to just sit on-top of my skin instead of sinking in. This body butter is thick enough where it doesn’t feel weird on my skin, and it will sink into my skin. They offer a few different scents but the shea one is my favorite.
I love this powder so much! It is a loose face powder but totally worth it. The powder itself is finely milled, comes in six shades, and melts into the skin. Some powders that have different shades can sometimes either look too cakey on the skin or too light. There is some sort of magic within this powder.
For the last six or so months, this has been the only bronzer I have used. The formula is smooth. It comes with a cooler/neutral tone as well as a warmer shade. Whenever I try another one of my bronzer’s, I wish that I had used this one as it is the best shade tone for my skin.
MAC paint pot eyeshadows were popular back in the day when beauty YouTube was at its peak. People mainly used “Soft Ochre” while those with cooler skin tones used “Painterly.” When Ulta Beauty had one of their 21 Days of Ulta Beauty Sale, the paint pots were on sale for 50% off so I picked up “Soft Ochre” and “Painterly.” The shade “Painterly” is my go-to eye base for when I’m traveling as well as in the summer.
My hope is that this list gave you some insight on what products to try the next time you are at Ulta Beauty. The reviews are a go-to spot for when I am trying a new product and want to know more information. Let me know of what product(s) you enjoy from Ulta Beauty.
