FAQ

How did your journey with beauty start?

My journey with beauty started a young age. I grew up as a competitive dancer and from there, my spark of joy for beauty emerged. Read my full story here. (will hyperlink to post about my beauty journey)

How do I know what products are best for me?

There are many different ways to find the best products for each individual skin type and skin tone. By reading blogs, like this one, or watching product reviews can give insight into how certain products work for certain people. Another way is by buying the products, full size or trial size, and depending on the store, if you don't 100% love it, you can return the product for a refund. *check refund policy before purchasing

Do I need to spend a lot of money on beauty?

No. For me, 99% of my skincare routine is from the drugstore and some of my all time favorite products are also from the drugstore. Drugstore beauty is how I got my start so why ruin a good thing that isn't already broken. If I am wanting to try a product that is more money, I take my time to research and sit on it before making the purchase. Here is a link to my Top 5 Products Under $5.

What should I do if my makeup looks like it's just sitting on my skin?

Makeup will look like makeup. If you are trying to go for the "no makeup makeup look" that doesn't look like you're wearing anything like you see on social media, carry a professional light around with you all day. Social media makeup does not look the same way that it does in real life. A trick to help it blend more seamless into the skin is by focusing on skincare. Skincare is the first step to achieving a flawless makeup.

How do I deal with acne?

Acne is a normal part of the skin. I have struggled with acne my entire life. First, step back to a simple skincare routine. Find products that are non-irritating, that doesn't have added fragrance, and that doesn't have harsh chemicals. Don't try the newest trend of skincare until you know what your skin can handle. If a simple skincare routine isn't working, contact a dermatologist to get professional help. Getting professional help is the best way to help yourself when you can't figure it out by yourself.

Acne is something I have grown to embrace. It's okay to feel insecure with your skin. I still do. Take time for yourself and put some love into yourself. Say encouraging words and eventually, you will embrace your acne and feel confident. Take it one day at a time.
